PL3FIX - edge connector fixer

Purposes

• Using memory interfaces with ZX Spectrum +2A, +2B, +3.

Properties

• Disables both ROM at once with the same line, as ZX Spectrum 48kB, without the need of changes inside the computer.

Mounting

• Plug the fixer into edge connector and the interface into the fixer.

ZX512 - memory extension

Purposes

• Using software dedicated to ZX128.
• Using software dedicated to Pentagon 512kB.
• Ramdisk under ZXVGS.

Properties

• Dedicated to ZX Spectrum Plus. The case with rubber keyboard it is to low inside to add the board.
• Is compatibile to ZX128 and Pentagon 512kB (in matter of memory map and extra screen.
• In base configuration there's 32kB ROM and 256kB RAM. For 512kB or 1024kB RAM special solutions of DRAM mounting is needed.
• The video memory (actually used by ULA to generate screen) is write-only. Reading is always performed from a copy, thanks to this only writing to screen banks (5 and 7) is slowed by ULA.
• Outing to #7FFD (32765) port is also slowed, as writing to screen memory.
• As ZX128 ROM a 64kB EPROM is used, so the TR-DOS traps are implemented and ZXVGS can emulate TR-DOS. This is the same as TRETRAP.
• The board is designed to make hardware multicolor mode, too.
• Removes screen snowing while IM 2 with value 64..127 in I register.

  • RAM5 and RAM7 contain the screen data and are slowed by ULA while writing.
  • RAM08..0F are 8 extra memory banks in 256kB extension.
  • RAM10..1F are 16 extra memory banks in 512kB extension.
• Memory switching with #7FFD (32765) port.

Mounting

• Extension circuit board is placed between ULA and the ZX board.
• The memory chips used are 4164 and 41256 (8 pieces of each).
• Extra signals are connected with 10 deconnectable wires.
• On the main board are needed changes due to new DRAM control.

Purposes

Properties

• Kolor zielony - komputer jest włączony.
• Kolor czerwony - komputer ma podłączony zasilacz.
• Kolor czerwony przgasający - zasilacz nie jest dołączony do sieci.
• Brak świecenia - zasilacz nie jest podłączony albo nie włączony do sieci.

Mounting

• W ZX48 (z gumową klawiaturą) wyłącznik montowany jest od góry.
• W ZX+ wyłącznik montowany jest z prawego boku na dolnej części obudowy.

Purposes

• Używanie dyskietek 3.5" z ZX Spectrum +3.

Properties

• Można korzystać z dyskietek o pojemności 720kB (PLUS3DOS) i 820kB (ZXVGS).
• W przypadku użycia gęstego napędu amigowego, można korzystać z dyskietek o pojemności 1640kB (ZXVGS).

Mounting

• Napęd 3.5" umieszczany jest zamiast napędu 3".
• Zmieniane jest złącze na taśmie wewnątrz oraz zamieniane napięcia w złączu zasilającym.
• Wymagane jest dostarczenie komputera oraz napędu 3.5".
